Mdm Aslina Abu Kasim was officially appointed as a Customs Officer of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) on 8th August 2008. She has over 16 years of experience in RMCD, particularly in management, customs and taxation, and compliance. She began her career as a Superintendent of Customs in 2008 at the Customs (Import Export) Division, North Port Butterworth, Penang. Since then, she has steadily advanced within the department, holding various management positions. Currently, she serves as a Customs Counsellor at the Customs Office based in Brussels. Madam Aslina successfully recovered tax revenue through post-clearance audits and outstanding account operations. She also played a significant role in the implementation of GST in Malaysia. As a State Champion for the MyGST System, she conducted numerous courses and seminars on GST and MyGST for department officers as well as corporate clients. She was recognized as a distinguished officer and has received various awards within the department and actively involved in co-curricular activities such as Innovation Group (KIK) and has won awards at the convention. Mdm Aslina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Northern University of Malaysia (UUM). She was born and received her early education in Terengganu, East Coast Malaysia.
