Jorge Horacio Menem AFIP AduanaDirector, of the Customs Process Reengineering Directorate

Jorge Horacio Menem is an architect, graduated from the Catholic University of Córdoba (1995). With more than 25 years of experience at the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), Horacio has held various roles, starting as an Advisor at the National Customs Administration and later in the Infrastructure Directorate. He served as Head of the Communications Infrastructure Division from 2009 to 2015. In 2017, in his role as Deputy in the General Subdirectorate of Customs Operations for the Interior, he gained extensive experience in customs operations and border control. From 2021 until mid-2024, he served as Head of the Department of New Technologies and Special Customs Projects, constantly seeking to promote and incorporate new technologies into customs operations to contribute to the facilitation and improvement of foreign trade control. Since September 2024, he has been serving as Director of the Customs Process Reengineering Directorate. In his current role, his challenges include coordinating with different areas within AFIP, as well as with national and international organizations through various initiatives and projects aimed at optimizing the use of technology and information for the proper fulfillment of customs duties.
